One does not always get second chances in life, but Sudhir Choudhrie, the famous humanitarian and entrepreneur got it 21 years ago. Sudhir Choudhrie’s unscripted story started in India at the age of eight years when his mum oversaw his full medical evaluation. The doctor diagnosed his lungs and heart and spotted an infrequent condition that made the heart skip beats triggered by a broken valve, and so it could fail anytime. This diagnosis was followed by series of health issues like vulnerability to certain infections related to the heart problem.
Even though the valve was leaking, Choudhrie did not hold back his dreams because he established Magnum Trading Agency in 1975 that concentrated on growing and widening the export market in India. In 1995, Sudhir Choudhrie was hired by Adidas and Taj Hotels and Resorts. Four years later, he worked for Ebookers PLC as a director up to 2005. In 2003, Sudhir explored Air Deccan, thereby making the airline the best within five years. All these years, Sudhir Choudhrie’s heart was giving out, and so a heart transplant was necessary. At 50 years of age, Choudhrie’s health was worsening, and he was to die in a few hours, and so a heart transplant was the last option. Sudhir had lost a brother a few years ago out of the same problem, but he found a heart while facing death. A US youth donated his matching heart to Choudhrie when he was dying out of a motorcycle accident.
The family of this young man demonstrated massive compassion and decided to save Choudhrie’s life. The surgery was done at The New York City’s Medical Facility at Columbia University by the famous surgeon called Dr. Mehmet Oz. The experience was quite terrifying because he started experiencing visions, but he went through counseling to remove the haunting horrors.
