Sujit Choudhry began his college education began in 1988 at Mcgill University in which he studied law. He then went on to further his education by attending the University of Oxford, the University of Toronto, and also Harvard University in which he finished in 1998. He has an immaculate resume that boasts Guest Researcher at Gastwissenschaftler, an advisor at the Forum of Federations, the CEO at the Center for Constitutional Transitions, and as the current CEO at Choudhry.law.
Choudry has written and edited over 60 different works as a law scholar. He’s appeared before Canada’s Supreme Court three times in which one was for the extremely high publicized case for Omar Khar. Sujit Choudhry traveled to Sri Lanka in 2003 to present a solution to the country’s ethnic conflict. Micheal Trebilcock who is a chair in law and economics at the University of Toronto describes Suji Choudhry as “a public intellectual with a bewildering array of public policy involvements.”
In November of 2019, prnewswire.com reported on Sujit Choudhry taking part in editing “Security Sector Reform In Constitutional Transitions”. The body of work helped in providing guidance and supervision for upcoming democracies on how ways that they could help with a broader process of constitutional reform when it came to security sector agencies throughout the world. With “Security Sector Reform in Constitutional Transitions”, Sujit Choudhry took an assortment of case studies from all over the world to help cover a wide spectrum of contexts.
The editing process was done by Sujit Choudhry with the help of Zoltan Barany, Richard Stacey, and Sumit Bisarya. The book was divided into three parts based on police states, ruptures and conflicts issues and military dictatorships. It came complete with detailed analyses of issues from all over the globing spanning from Ghana and Chile to Indonesia. It was then released on Amazon.com as an e-book on September 19, 2019.
