Millions of people across the nation need mental health care services. News stories of random and senseless crimes, homelessness, drug use, mass shootings, and disorderly emotional outbursts prove that there are too many people who need psychological help. Oren Frank co-founded Talkspace with his wife Roni to provide mental health services to everybody who seeks help. They believe that it is a moral right for everyone to have access to psychotherapy and the support it provides.

Oren and his wife give credit to marriage counseling for saving their marriage. They saw this as a valuable and helpful experience that should be accessible to everyone. Oren was working as an advertising executive for McCann Erickson Worldwide, and Roni was a software developer before they founded Talkspace. They both spent a lot of time in personal therapy. They decided to make the benefits of therapy available and affordable to everyone when they founded their online and mobile psychotherapy company Talkspace in 2012.
In an interview on Ideamensch.com, Oren was asked questions about what makes him a successful entrepreneur. First, Oren believes that moderation is one of the keys to his success. He says that the extreme work culture in many companies is destructive to the lives of the people who work in these companies. Companies that provide a healthy balance between work and family time have workers who are happier and more productive.
Second, he said that being focus was the key for him in growing his business. He defined his goals, he recognized barriers to the growth of his company, and he was obsessive about delivering positive results.
Finally, he takes time to make sure he does the right thing and prioritizes important tasks. He says we all tend to focus on the urgent rather than taking care of the important. Taking care of what’s important is the key to being a successful entrepreneur. See: https://hlth.com/speakers/oren-frank/
