CEO And Founder Of Citizen App – Andrew Frame

Andrew Frame is a well-known entrepreneur and the CEO and founder of the Citizen App. Citizen app is the first app to utilize 911 intelligence with local information to keep you, your family, and your friends safe. Andrew Frame was named among the top entrepreneurs with the vision to shape the digital world in the future.

He was born and raised in Las Vegas. At the age of 15, Andrew Frame dropped out of school to establish and run his technology firm as an Internet Service Provider. With time his company became among the leading ISPs in Las Vegas.

During his early years, he spent his career in network infrastructure. At the age of 17, he joined Cisco Systems, where he held the support engineer position. After working for some time, he was promoted to the GCOE (Global Center of Expertise) team.

His primary focus with the GCOE was mainly on routing architecture. Additionally, Andrew Frame managed to obtain the top certification while working for Cisco. This made him the youngest individual to receive the dual CCIE Certifications.

He joined Procket Networks, a startup company, as the test engineer for their systems from 2001 to 2004. After working with Procket Networks, Andrew Frame shifted back to his entrepreneurial origin and launched Ooma in Palo Alto, CA, in 2005. Frame had great support from his technology team, like co-creator of Napster, Sean Parker, creator of TiVo, Mike Ramsey, and Keith Krach, CEO of Ariba. By 2007, his firm had raised about $27 million from Worldview Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

Through his online course, Andrew also supports and advises young entrepreneurs and students who want to start their businesses. He mainly covers topics like raising startup capital, creating a vision, hiring a startup team, among others. In 2009, he named Eric Stang to replace him after his resignation as the Ooma CEO.

In the same year, TechCrunch recognized Frame as a TechFellow. In 2006, he established Vigilante, a mobile application to help citizens remain informed about what is happening within their location.
