Heath Ritenour is the current chairman and CEO of the Insurance of America Company. His father, John Ritenour, started a company to be creative, innovate, and care for the insurance industry. Heath Ritenour’s first leading task was in the sports realm; it never crossed his mind that he would be a fast-growing insurance company leader. However, he was in awe of how his father handled his work and tried his best.
The start of Mr. Ritenour’s career was in the Insurance of America as an intern. While he was there, he noticed that the agents had different principles of handling their work. Some agents would focus on what the client’s needs are. On the other hand, others aimed to ensure that they push their sales to get more pitches into the company. Heath Ritenour then decided to adopt the aspect of being an agent that outlines the customers’ needs and improving the relationship with them first.
Heath Ritenour then became an agent at the company after he was done with his internship. At the start of his job, it was hard to get clients due to his young age. However, he managed to convince the clients that he would do his best to satisfy their needs with confidence. Through his hard work and proactive communication with the clients, he saw him get referrals from the clients.
For twelve years as an agent, Heath Ritenour learned more about the company and gained relationships. He later accepted the role of being the CEO of the company after too much consideration and wanting to continue the legacy his father had made. Since his appointment, the Insurance of America has seen steady growth in the industry. Even when it was not an easy thing to do, he let his team know the battle he had with cancer. During his free time, Mr Ritenour values his family; he makes sure that he spends it with them.
