Asot Michael is a member of parliament for Antigua and Barbuda. In his years in public service, Asot has been famous for his exceptional quality of service. He is a St. John Antigua Secondary School and Barry University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Asot Michael did pursue a master’s in business administration from the University of Miami. Over the years, Asot has been serving different positions in the corporate and government. One of the notable posts being the managing director of Asot Arcade, a leading retail store &Casino in the United States. Asot Michael has been in the public service since 1999 after he was appointed the chief of staff in the prime minister’s office. After one year in service, Asot’s responsibility was to oversee public works and communication, following his appointment as the minister of public works.
Other elective positions he has been serving in the past include being a special administrative assistant. One of the critical accomplishments Asot Michael has been making as a representative for Antigua and Barbuda is schools’ rehabilitation. Asot Michael admits that for 20 years, government bodies such as the Antigua and Barbuda Labor Party do not bother checking on their progress. Asot points out that he will be releasing a rehabilitation program soon. The program will feature, among other things, the installation of a security booth and handwashing sinks.
