Tom S Chang MD on Digital Eye Strain

Several places have mandated masks since the pandemic started. Many even impose fines if caught without one. It landed on social media as a huge discussion and divided friends and families on mask-wearing mandates. The arguments went even further as well. Some people are worried about eye exposure. According to specialized ophthalmologist Tom S Chang MD, the lack of education on the subject has been the largest reason people argue. Tom S Chang MD explained the situation and how the eye coverings are in relation to the masks.

There are several myths about the virus. The masks that are mandated are good, but they are not able to prevent the transmission of the virus. The particles of the virus are just too small. They can easily get through the masks that have been mandated in most areas. People argue that the mandated ones are enough. They aren’t though. You need the N95 masks (Doctor).

The second myth is that eye coverings should be mandatory. The N95 masks are the only ones that protect, and your eyes don’t need a cover. Tom S Chang and all healthcare experts know that the virus comes through air droplets. This is from the mouth. When somebody coughs the virus can spread. Dr. Tom S Chang has the situation under control though. He shared that the N95 mask is the best way to keep you and your family safe. Stay out of the range of others using social distancing, and you will be safe. Wear that mask, but make sure it’s a N95 one.
