Hilt Tatum went to college for international business at the University of Montana, the Institute for American Universities in France, and Eckerd College in Florida. He finished a Masterclass in Private Equity from the business school in London and completed a postgraduate degree from this business school at Oxford University. Hilt Tatum was a U.S. entrepreneur that spent his time in Europe, Panama, and Asia. His company called iPoint Capital Partners is located in Panama. He started iPoint Capital Partners in 2006 after he sold his company that he co-owned in his college days. After that point, Tatum has now closed three funds while still holding this company together. With his company, he is held accountable for the private equity, venture capital, and alternative investment branches of the firm. Now, Tatum is on the executive committees and board of directors of over half a dozen portfolio companies. He is one of the lead partners on many technologies, medical, intellectual property, timber, and real estate development ventures.

Project Joy has a popular activity around Christmas time where all the kids that are there are given different gifts like basketballs, toys, bicycles, dolls, and others. Tatum views this Project Joy as a commitment throughout the whole year. He is constantly finding ways to help Project Joy and to provide charities where people can donate old items that they can give out to kids when Christmas time comes around. He hopes that one day he will be contacting these kids that he has helped about how their lives are and that the children will respond with how they are going to college, starting their own business, or even getting married and having a very happy life.
