Niranjan Shah was born in India in 1944, December 13th. In 1967 he attained a bachelor in Science from the Sardar Patel University. He also graduated with a Master’s of Science from the University of Mississippi. In 1991 he went on to do a course in Personnel management from Harvard University. He got married in 1969 and is blessed with two children. He relocated to the United States in 1971.
Niranjan Shah’s wonderful support system, brilliant mind, and dedication were factors that were for sure going to take him far in life.

His hard work created a path for him into the US, where he was able to receive the training he required to venture into the field of engineering.
1n 1974 he started his company known as Globetrotters Engineering Corporation based in Chicago and achieved so much success. Material success was just not enough for Shah, remembering where he came from and the support he got from his village, he made a decision to give back to his community.
It is very easy for successful entrepreneurs to be obsessed with just the efforts of growing their organizations.
Their business takes first priority and they might not even consider giving back. For Shah it was not up for debate, it was non-negotiable. Philanthropy to him was a priority. He made sure he improved the lives of both his home village back in India and his current home town in the US.
He ensured a high school was built and a medical clinic to provide health services to the people. He provided support and aid to the small villages in his native home India so as to pave the way and opportunities to others just like he had.
He also worked with top leaders as the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the US by providing insight on how to improve communication among them.
He has also utilized his influences and connects with top US government offices to discuss matters involving India, and through these efforts, there has been a great and better understanding and strong relationship between the two countries.

The year 2001 an earthquake hit Gujarat, Shah offered help. He airlifted medical supplies, food supplies, and clothing. He also offered resources to ensure that Gujarat was reconstructed back to normal. For this, he got an award from the Gujarat Governor known as Glory of Gujarat in 2005.
He was the liaison between India’s New Delhi town and Chicago when they were having talks about bringing the Chicago City traveling Exhibit to the town of New Delhi.
Shah has contributed so much to India, and for this, he was awarded the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award.
